London Marathon Challenge
The motion
That the Parliament supports Irvine’s Carolyn McCleary, who is taking on the challenge of running the London Marathon 2020 in memory of her late brother, Craig; understands that Carolyn is hoping to raise £2,000 for JDRF after she sadly lost Craig to diabetes when he was only 18- years-old; notes that Carolyn is attempting to run the 26.2 mile course after overcoming warnings from doctors that she would never walk again following a broken pelvis and twice-broken back, as well as surviving cervical cancer; praises Carolyn for her fighting spirit, and wishes her every success in the London Marathon next year.
