Irvine Woman Wins Top Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Irvine’s Irene Lewis on being awarded Barchester Healthcare’s Foundation Champion of the Year award after raising £3,000 for charities through her work; understands that the awards celebrate staff and volunteers who go the extra mile for the benefits of residents living in Barchester care homes and independent mental health hospitals; recognises that the award categories range from Carer of the Year to Maintenance Champion with more than 1,900 nominations received from across the UK; notes that Irene won the award after organising a Barchester Executive Team curry cook-off in May 2019, which raised £2,867 for the foundation; commends Irene for her hard work and dedication, and wishes her continues success in the future.
