Abertay University's #PumpkinRescue Campaign
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the #PumpkinRescue campaign, which is being organised by students from Abertay University; notes that the innovative initiative involves the production of reduced-sugar pumpkin-flavour ice cream and aims to help reduce the estimated eight million pumpkins that are thrown away each Halloween; understands that the pumpkin skin is rich in vitamin A and can replace the sugar content in ice cream by around 40%, and congratulates all involved with this.
