The Friends of the Victoria and Whyteman’s Brae Hospitals' Charity 50th Anniversary
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Kirkcaldy charity, The Friends of the Victoria and Whyteman’s Brae Hospitals, on its 50th anniversary; understands that the charity was founded in 1969 and is a committee comprising equal numbers of hospital staff and volunteers; further understands that the charity aims to provide funds for comforts, amenities and other requests for the benefit of patients and staff of both hospitals; notes that, over the last five decades, the group has raised over £600,000; understands that the charity's funds have helped buy equipment for the diabetes centre and furnish Victoria Hospital’s chapel to benefit people from all denominations and none, and thanks all those who partake in this wonderful charity.
