Rose and Charlie McNairn's 65th Wedding Anniversary
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Rose and Charlie McNairn from Old Kilpatrick on celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary, which took place on 25 October 2019; notes that Rose met Charlie after she travelled to Clydebank from her childhood home in Donegal in the 1950s to work in the town’s Singer factory; further notes that Rose and Charlie have had 10 children during their long and happy marriage; recognises that, whenever they faced adversity in life, they drew strength from their love for each other; understands that, as part of their anniversary celebrations, Rose and Charlie spent an enjoyable day visiting the Parliament, and wishes them happiness in their life together.
