Anthony Nolan Trust Helps Save Lives in Dumbarton and Across Scotland
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Anthony Nolan Trust for helping to save the lives of people with blood cancer and using its stem cell register to find matching donors; thanks each of the 1,129 potential lifesavers in Dumbarton who have signed up for the register; applauds the charity and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service on celebrating the 10th anniversary of their successful partnership that has helped to raise awareness of blood cancers and recruit donors, but appreciates that, although tremendous efforts have been made, there is still a need for more donors, especially people from a BAME background.
