Congratulating Harve Symonds on Scottish Health Award Nomination
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Harve Symonds from Orkney on being announced as a finalist in the Scottish Health Awards 2019; notes that the awards take place on 14 November and celebrate the incredible and devoted work of healthcare professionals across Scotland who consistently go the extra mile to ensure that all patients receive the highest level of care and treatment; acknowledges that Harve has been shortlisted alongside two other nominees for the Young Achiever Award, which recognises individuals aged 30 or younger who have demonstrated outstanding achievement as part of their work; understands that Harve was nominated by a patient at the Balfour Hospital who praised her friendly and caring manner during her work, and the exceptional level of support that she provided to him when his family could not visit; pays tribute to Harve and the nominees in all 17 categories at this year’s awards, and wishes them an enjoyable evening and the very best for the announcement of the winners.
