Dogs Trust Firework Code
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the creation of the Fireworks Dog Code by the Dogs Trust to coincide with Bonfire Night; understands that the Code contains advice on limiting distress to dogs when fireworks are being used and how to make them feel safer; considers that this time of year can be challenging for dogs and their owners, particularly where unofficial displays occur as owners are not forewarned; hopes that this code will raise awareness of best practice with fireworks when it comes to dog welfare, and encourages the public to familiarise themselves with the Code by visiting dogstrust.org.uk/help-advice/advice-for-owners/fireworks.
