Orkney's Success at the Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards

That the Parliament congratulates Destination Orkney on winning the Working Together for Tourism category at the Highlands and Islands Tourism Awards 2019; understands that the awards recognise and celebrate excellence throughout the hospitality industry in the Highlands and Islands; acknowledges that Destination Orkney was one of 15 winners announced at the awards ceremony at the Drumossie Hotel in Inverness, and that it will now automatically become a finalist at the Scottish Thistle Awards in March 2020; notes that the Button-Ben Guest House and Chalmersquoy Accommodation, both in Orkney, were also shortlisted for awards; congratulates the hardworking staff at Destination Orkney, Button-Ben Guest House and Chalmersquoy Accommodation on the recognition achieved at these prestigious awards; believes that this is further testimony to Orkney’s high-quality hospitality and tourism industry, and wishes all those involved in the tourism sector in Orkney and across the Highlands and Islands continued success in the future.
