Kids Gone Wild, Best Children's Attraction in Scotland
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the family-run business, Kids Gone Wild, based in Livingston, which was crowned winners of the Best Children’s Attraction at the Scottish Outdoor Leisure Awards 2019 held on 1 November 2019; acknowledges the efforts of Lauren and Rob Riddell who set up the business this year with the aim of delivering nature-related, play-based sessions to children and families with the intention of normalising outdoor and risky play and help children to reconnect and respect nature; understands that its aim is to tackle current social issues among young people, including reducing screen time, helping families become more physically active together and improving mental health; acknowledges that the Scottish Outdoor Leisure Awards are now in their fourth year and celebrates the very best in the outdoor and leisure industry across the whole of Scotland, and wishes everyone involved in Kids Gone Wild success for the future.
