Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the announcement of a £60 million investment by the Scottish Government to help transform the Michelin tyre factory in Dundee into the Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc (MSIP) over the next 10 years; notes that the parc will deliver a world-class innovation centre driving global research while influencing and supporting breakthroughs in sustainable mobility and low carbon energy; understands that MSIP will capitalise on current policy enabling Scotland to be at the forefront of the climate change movement, create a vibrant community with an abundance of expertise and provide a host of job opportunities for current staff at Michelin, across Dundee, Scotland and indeed the world, and believes that the parc will deliver long lasting benefits to the city and beyond.
