Two Kirkcaldy-based Groups Claim Share of National Lottery Funding
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Gallatown Bike Hub Ltd and the Linton Lane Centre on receiving National Lottery funding; notes that the two Kirkcaldy-based groups are among those from across Fife sharing over £80,000 of good cause funding; notes that the bike hub will receive £6,994 to recruit a new part-time development officer to help produce a robust business plan to aid the group’s move towards sustainability; further notes that Linton Lane will receive £8,800 to run creative drama workshops for young people aged between 16 and 25 who are experiencing homelessness or are at high risk of homelessness; understands that, over the last 25 years, players of the National Lottery have raised an amazing £33.1 billion for 64,000 good causes in Scotland; thanks the National Lottery for its work to bring local people together and help good causes; congratulates Gallatown Bike Hub and the Linton Lane Centre on their increased funding, and wishes their projects immense success.
