Local Fife Groups Awarded It’s Your Neighbourhood Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the local Fife groups, East March Street, Kirkcaldy Community Gardens and Allotments, Hayfield Growing, Kirkcaldy Old Trust, Ravenscraig Walled Gardens and the Kinghorn Harbour Residents and Environmental Group on being awarded an It’s Your Neighbourhood award; understands that the award celebrates the efforts of group members who clean up and improve their local communities; further understands that they were among 13 groups from across the Kingdom to be recognised; notes that the groups were recognised for their commitment to improving their local neighbourhoods with initiatives, from improving access to allotments to implementing school wildlife clubs and adopting areas of derelict land; further notes that the It’s Your Neighbourhood initiative is run by Keep Scotland Beautiful in partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society and is an initiative that focuses on community participation; commends these groups on their success, and wishes them all the very best for the future.
