Congratulating Carol Dunbar, Lifetime Achievement Award

That the Parliament congratulates Carol Dunbar from Orkney on being awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the ninth annual Marsh Awards for Excellence in Gallery Education; understands that the awards celebrate and recognise the hard work and dedication of individuals working within the sector of galleries, museums and visual arts education; acknowledges that Carol has led community education projects across Orkney for over 30 years, where she has provided training to young people who have gone on to pursue careers in the arts; notes that Carol is currently the Learning and Engagement Programme Manager at the Pier Arts Centre in Stromness, where she has led several innovative projects designed to engage young people in the arts; recognises that she was nominated by the Pier Arts Centre for her inspiring and dedicated contribution to communities across Orkney; congratulates Carol and all the other winners on their awards; thanks them for their incredible and selfless work to create more opportunities for others to enjoy art, and wishes them the very best for their future projects and endeavours.
