The Listening Walk
The motion
That the Parliament notes the visit of David Matthews to the Ayrshire Samaritans in September 2019 as part of his Listening Walk; understands that the Listening Walk will see David walk approximately 6,000 miles over the next two years to visit every Samaritans branch in the UK and Republic of Ireland to raise awareness and funds for his home branch in Doncaster and the Samaritans nationally; notes that, as part of his visit, David undertakes a volunteer shift at each branch, offering emotional support by telephone and e-mail; commends him for his efforts, and wishes him well with his walk.
