Douglas Academy Pupils Progress in the Young Musician of the Year Competition
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Raj Bhaumik and Chun Yi Kang, who are S4 pupils at Douglas Academy in Milngavie, on progressing to the second round of the BBC Young Musician of the Year Competition; understands that Raj who plays clarinet and principal bass clarinet, and Kang, who plays violin, hope that their upcoming performances in Cardiff will earn them a place in the Grand Final, which will be held in Manchester in May 2020; recognises the tremendous, natural talent and dedication necessary to be among the best young musicians in the country, and wishes Raj and Kang success in the competition and with their musical, academic and other endeavours.
