Success of Victoria Hospital’s Homelessness Project
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy on the success of its homelessness initiative; understands that, as well as sorting out accommodation for those who need it, the initiative has led to major savings for Fife's health service in its first year; notes that the project launched in April 2018 and that, within six months of launching, hospital admissions among homeless people had almost halved from 106 to 58; commends the Victoria Hospital and all those who have been involved in its homelessness project, and wishes the initiative further success.
