Fife in Race for World-first Hydrogen Project
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Fife Energy Park in Methil on being a possible front runner to host the world’s first 100% hydrogen gas network; understands that the construction of this demonstration network could power over 300 homes; notes that the project aims to demonstrate how renewable energy produced by offshore wind can generate a secure and reliable supply of green hydrogen to heat homes, and further notes that a decision on the project is expected early in 2020.
