Aberdeen, Good for Growth Cities Index
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the recent announcement by the Demos-PwC Good Growth for Cities Index, which lists Aberdeen as one of the UK’s top 10 cities to live and work in; understands that Aberdeen rose to sixth place, becoming Scotland’s highest-ranked city on the list; acknowledges that the rise has been attributed to improvements in health, work-life balance, housing affordability and income distribution, and that, of the 11 different indicators, Aberdeen scored above the national average in seven of them, and welcomes this positive announcement, which it believes should be considered as a stimulus to continue efforts to prevent Brexit at all costs, as it understands that Aberdeen is predicted to be the worst-hit city across the UK should this occur.
