Inverclyde Indoor Bowling Centre Stages Successful National Youth Tournament
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Inverclyde Indoor Bowling Centre on successfully hosting the under-18s British Indoor Bowling Mixed Championships, which saw the best young players from across the UK compete on the national stage; believes that this event was great for Inverclyde as it attracted lots of interest from outside the area, with more spectators than expected turning up to watch; considers that Inverclyde has become a major player in indoor bowls after the facility was given a £100,000 revamp, funded by Inverclyde Council, and commends Inverclyde Leisure, which manages the centre, for seeking to attract more competitions after the success of the youth championships.
