Ingenza, Promoting Diversity SME Employer of the Year
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Roslin-based business, Ingenza, on winning the Promoting Diversity SME Employer of the Year category at the Scottish Apprenticeship Awards 2019, which were presented at the Caird Hall, Dundee, on 7 November; understands that these awards, which are delivered by Skills Development Scotland, seek to bring together apprentices, employers and training providers from all over the country to celebrate the contributions that apprenticeships make to society and the economy; recognises that Ingenza started offering apprenticeships in 2009 and that six of its 37 permanent staff started as apprentices; acknowledges that the business encourages a new generation of scientists and is working to get more women involved with the STEM sector, and wishes it all the best.
