Forth Valley College's Alloa Campus Open Evening
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the success of the recent open evening at the Alloa Campus of Forth Valley College; understands that, on the evening of 6 November 2019, representatives from the college's teaching departments and business development team were on hand to offer advice and guidance on the wide range of courses available at the college, in addition to showcasing the apprenticeship opportunities that the college has for prospective students; acknowledges that the opportunities on show included full-time courses from access to degree level, modern apprenticeships, new foundation apprenticeships, evening courses, business training courses and flexible learning programmes; notes that, in addition, support teams were available to offer careers advice and answer questions on funding, learning support and applying to college; further notes that Forth Valley College launched its new prospectus recently and is encouraging people to apply online for full-time courses available from January and August 2020, and commends Dr Ken Thomson, Principal of Forth Valley College, and all the teams for their collective forward thinking and innovative approach to further education and modern apprenticeships across Clackmannanshire and throughout Scotland.
