The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the group, Welfare Reform Anti-Poverty (WRAP), on being awarded £72,000 by the Levenmouth Area Committee; notes that the group, which is a partnership between Castle Furniture, Cosy Kingdom, People’s Pantry, Levenmouth Foodbank, Kingdom Banking and Clued Up, aims to provide a community response to what it understands are high levels of poverty and the impact that this has on families; acknowledges that, having been in operation for around six months, WRAP has been able to save people an average of around £20 to £25 per week on groceries from the Levenmouth Pantry, which represents a total saving for the people of Levenmouth of over £50,000; understands that the WRAP partners want to invite more organisations to join them to help make a difference in the lives of people, and thanks all involved with WRAP on their efforts and success.
