Inspectors Praise St Andrews Primary School in Fraserburgh
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates St Andrews Primary School and nursery in Fraserburgh on being rated “good” in quality of care and support and quality of environment by the Care Inspectorate; understands that inspectors visited the school in June 2019 and highlighted effective working relationships and information sharing as positive areas of the school's methods; notes that the report also highlighted that clear plans were in place for children who needed additional support with their learning, and that one-to-one support was provided where needed and managed well overall; acknowledges that the report also emphasised that children aged two were benefiting from an early start in nursery and, as a result, children were nurtured, confident and happy; recognises the importance of supportive and nurturing teaching environments and the effect that it has on pupils' ability to learn and grow; considers this an excellent overall performance; commends the staff for creating such a positive learning environment, and looks forward to the school's continuing success.
