Peebles High Goes Plastic Bottle Free
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Peebles High School on declaring itself “plastic bottle free”, making it only the second state school in Scotland to do so; understands that this came about after students with concerns about the school’s environmental impact, including the use of single-use plastic, set up an Eco Committee in 2018 to look at ways of being more environmentally friendly; congratulates the students, and the staff supporting them, on taking the initiative on this matter, and hopes to see more schools following their lead.
