Bonnymuir Green Community Trust Wins EcoCity Awards

That the Parliament congratulates Bonnymuir Green Community Trust on winning the Overall EcoCity and Sustainable Food categories at Aberdeen City Council’s 2019 EcoCity Awards in recognition of its work in transforming an unused and overgrown bowling green into a community garden; understands that the awards were set up to acknowledge individuals and organisations in the city who spread the eco-friendly message and that winners were chosen in nine different categories from 30 submissions received; notes that the other winners included RSPB Scotland, for its DolphinWatch project, and the Walking Bus Scheme at Cults Primary School, and commends everyone who entered the awards on their commitment to protecting the environment.
