Bert Fowlie Butcher Crowned Scottish Butcher's Shop of the Year for Third Year in a Row
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Bert Fowlie Butcher of Strichen on being named Scottish Butcher of the Year at the Butcher’s Shop of the Year Awards for the third year in a row; notes that the annual awards are organised by the Meat Trades Journal and celebrate the best of independent retail butchers; recognises the important role that family businesses such as Bert Fowlie Butcher play in promoting the quality produce that Scotland has to offer, and how vital such businesses are to the economies and communities of the towns and villages of rural Scotland; acknowledges that a member of staff, Callum Morrice, was a finalist in the Young Butcher of the Year category; commends Hebbie Fowlie, Gavin Fowlie and all their staff on their continued success, and wishes them well.
