Scottish Apprentice of the Year 2019
The motion
That the Parliament congratulate Irvine’s Jordan Fairlamb, who was named the Scottish Apprentice of the Year 2019 by Skills Development Scotland; notes Jordan took a supply chain management apprenticeship programme with Lanarkshire-based Dawnfresh Seafoods straight from school; understands that Jordan won the award for his initiative, which allowed his employer to avoid £60,000 of costs for the firm by single-handedly solving a customers' packaging issue and finding a solution to save £100,000 worth of stock; commends Jordan for his innovative idea, and wishes him the best of luck for the future.
