Stevie Preston Honoured by the Clackmannanshire British Legion
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the decision by the Clackmannanshire British Legion to honour Stevie Preston, who is the licence holder of the Station Hotel in Alloa, in recognition of the generosity and help that he provides to veterans and serving military personnel, including his hosting of the legion branch at the hotel free of charge; applauds Stevie for welcoming veterans and serving personnel on Remembrance Sunday 2019 and holding a special post-service dinner for 40 people; notes that one of the branch's members is in charge of firing the One O'clock Gun at Edinburgh Castle and that, as a gesture of thanks, another branch member, Robert Hunter, arranged for Stevie to be presented with a personally-engraved 105mm field gun shell casing from it, and commends Stevie and the legion on their generosity and highly magnanimous work.
