Miixer CIC, Best Community Impact Award Winner
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the non-profit social enterprise, Miixer CIC, which is based in Dunbar, on winning the Best Community Impact Award at the Midlothian and East Lothian Chamber of Commerce Business Awards; understands that it diverts over 30 tonnes of landfill material each month to be reused for the community; notes that the enterprise reclaims furniture, clothes and books, which are then sold cheaply or donated to schools and community organisations; commends it for its work in reducing waste and supporting the community, and wishes the enterprise all the best.
