East Fortune Farm, Best Family Business Award Winner
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Brand family, who run East Fortune Farm in East Lothian, on winning the Best Family Business Award at the Midlothian and East Lothian Chamber of Commerce Business Awards; understands that the family, which has had the farm for four generations, expanded the business by bringing in a small flock of Hampshire Down ewes in 2010 and introducing Saddleback pigs in 2017; notes that, in 2018, a farm shop, the Brand Family Larder, was opened, which sells a wide range of produce from both the farm and other nearby producers; commends the Brand family for their hard work in making the farm a success, and wishes them all the best.
