Opening of Food Bank in West Lothian
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges the opening of a new West Lothian food bank distribution point at West Calder; notes with alarm that residents were queuing outside awaiting its opening; believes that the increased need for these is a direct effect of the recently imposed universal credit, and calls for more to be done to alleviate the need for food banks.
