Clackmannanshire Tug of War Coach Prepares the Scottish Team
The motion
That the Parliament wishes Bob Warnock, who is from Clackmannanshire, the best of luck with preparing the Scottish national indoor tug of war team for the World Championship early in 2020; understands that he has been the coach of the national team for almost 20 years, since its first gold medal victory in 1999; notes that the team trains at his own farm on the outskirts of Forestmill in Alloa and is currently in the middle of the Scotland-wide indoor season; understands that the domestic calendar concludes with the national championships in Beith on 8 December 2019; notes that, following this, the team will compete in two international competitions, the British and Irish Championship in January 2020 and the World Championship in Letterkenny, Ireland, in February 2020, and wishes Bob and the team the very best in their forthcoming competitions.
