Harve Symond, Young Achiever Award Winner

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Harve Symonds, who is from Orkney, on winning the Young Achiever Award at the Scottish Health Awards 2019; notes that the awards celebrate the incredible work carried out by healthcare professionals across Scotland and recognises those who have gone above and beyond to provide exceptional care to patients and their families; understands that the Young Achiever award is presented to someone aged 30 or younger who has provided outstanding care and support; acknowledges that Harve was recognised for her welcoming, friendly and caring manner when supporting a patient at the Balfour Hospital whose family could not visit him; commends Harve on her incredible efforts to show the very highest level of patient care; recognises the outstanding difference that such an approach makes to people’s lives; pays tribute to the invaluable and dedicated work of Harve and all of the winners and nominees at this year’s awards, and wishes them all the best in their endeavours.
