Shelter Scotland’s Are You With Us? Campaign
The motion
That Parliament acknowledges the Shelter Scotland campaign, Are You With Us?, which is calling for the right to a safe, secure and affordable home; supports the aims of the campaign as the charity seeks to enshrine the right to housing in any potential Act of the Parliament on human rights; notes that the National Taskforce for Human Rights Leadership is developing a new statutory framework to improve human rights protection for everyone in Scotland, and believes that there is a need to ensure that people know their housing rights, that these rights are upheld and that laws are not routinely broken.
