Lodged by Gillian Martin (Scottish National Party) Standard Motion 15 supporters

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the pupils from schools across the north east, including from Turriff and Mintlaw academies, who took part in Shell's Girls in Energy Conference; understands that the event, which was part of a one-year course, was designed to inspire girls to pursue a STEM-based career and engaged its 100 attendees in various activities and allowed them to meet inspirational role models; acknowledges that part of the conference involved a "Dragons' Den"-style panel grilling the students on their ideas to help tackle the global energy challenge and the transition to a cleaner energy future; applauds all who took part in the conference, and wishes them well.
