Eilidh Ewan Receives Duke of Edinburgh Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Eilidh Ewen on receiving the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award; notes that Eilidh belongs to the 1st Cornhill Rangers and was presented with the award by her leader, Jane Enkel, at a beetle drive event; recognises that, in working towards this award, Eilidh embarked on a number of personal challenges, including volunteering with her local Guiding unit, sitting her dance exams and piano playing, to name a few; notes that the Duke of Edinburgh Award is a voluntary, non-competitive programme of activities designed to help participants push themselves to develop new skills, notes that Eilidh considered this “a big challenge but [she] had loads of fun trying new things… and meeting new people”, and wishes her further success.
