NHS Near Me Success
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates NHS Near Me on winning the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Lucian Leap Institute Medtronic Safety Culture & Technology Innovator Award for improving patient safety through the successful implementation of technology and culture change; notes that NHS Near Me provides outpatient consultations either at the patient’s home or at a local NHS Highland clinic and has been rolled out across the health board area over the last year; recognises that NHS Near Me has provided 2,700 video consultations across 31 clinical specialities, which, at current level of usage, is saving an estimated 350,000 travel miles per year for patients and clinicians across Highland, and wishes the project well for future years.
