West Lothian Friends of Chernobyl
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates all volunteers involved with the West Lothian Friends of Chernobyl charity on their recent visit to children and families in Belarus to deliver food parcels; understands that the group pays a visit twice yearly to visit families that are known to them, but are now travelling to remote villages beside the exclusion zone to find new children to add to the group in future; acknowledges that 11 new children have been selected to come to West Lothian to live with host families for one month in 2020; commends the fundraising efforts throughout the year by the charity to enable them to help families in need, and wishes them every success for the future.
