The Big Climate Fightback
The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges that the Woodland Trust is leading the Big Climate Fightback; notes that this campaign is asking people across Scotland and the rest of the UK to pledge to plant a tree by 30 November 2019; further notes that woodland expansion, through both tree planting and natural regeneration, is part of a host of nature-based solutions to the climate emergency through carbon sequestration, flooding mitigation, pollution reduction, wildlife habitat provision and much more, and invites everyone to get involved and support the tree planting effort part of the Big Climate Fightback.
