Fife River Clean Up
The motion
That the Parliament commends Fife Council for the proposal of a development plan for Levenmouth to focus on cleaning up the River Leven; notes that this project will be part of a partnership with SEPA and other organisations to investigate a range of issues, including improving the water quality, biodiversity and the use of space for recreation; further notes that the project will strive to improve connectivity and reduce the antisocial behaviour associated with the area; understands that SEPA will be helping to clean up the river, which was at one point the most polluted in Scotland; commends Fife Council for taking up this important project, and thanks everyone involved in its development.
