Success for University Hospital Wishaw’s Student-led Styles and Smiles
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates University Hospital Wishaw’s student-led hair salon, Styles and Smiles, on winning the Health and Social Care Integration prize at the recent Herald Society Awards; notes that the service, which offers patients free hairdressing and barbering services, is run by hairdressing and barbering staff and students from New College Lanarkshire; recognises that it helps patients maintain community participation, allowing people who have a hairdressing routine to maintain this while in hospital, and wishes everyone involved with Styles and Smiles continued success.
