Lodged by Jenny Gilruth (Scottish National Party) Standard Motion 15 supporters

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Glenrothes & Area Heritage Centre on being awarded Visitor Attraction status by VisitScotland; notes that the Centre covers the heritage and culture of Glenrothes, Markinch, Kinglassie, Coaltown of Balgonie, Milton of Balgonie, Leslie and Thornton, and is the only location from which to view the artefacts and paintings of the dynastic Earls and Dukes of Rothes from the 16th century to the present; recognises that the Heritage Centre works in co-operation with local schools and Fife College on heritage projects; considers that the Centre’s reopening of new premises inside the Kingdom Shopping Centre in Glenrothes has been a great success, and wishes Glenrothes & Area Heritage Centre, and all its members of staff, the very best in their future endeavours.
