Successful Renovation of Barclay Park Community Pavilion in Peterhead

That the Parliament congratulates Peterhead Area Community Trust (PACT) on its successful renovation of Barclay Park Community Pavilion in Peterhead; recognises the substantial effort of PACT, which spent the last 18 months planning and fundraising for the refurbishment; notes that the new building has many important new features, including new entrance ramp, a community area with Wi-Fi throughout, two fully-accessible changing rooms with toilets and showers and an online booking system; welcomes the specific improvements to accessibility, and applauds PACT’s mission to improve sporting and recreational facilities for community use to promote community inclusion, health, and happiness; recognises the important role that such facilities have in promoting health, wellness and stronger community ties through sport; commends the members of PACT for their successful first project and all those who made this possible, and looks forward to the public open day at the pavilion on 14 December 2019.
