Sheila Stewart and Isabel Murray, Dalgety Bay's Black Belt Grannies
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Sheila Stewart and Isabel Murray, who are grandmothers from Dalgety Bay, on earning their black belts in karate; notes that Sheila and Isabel, who are 72 and 77 respectively, received their belts in November 2019 after four years of arduous training, during which they rarely missed a practice; highlights the dedication necessary to accomplish such an impressive accomplishment in this sport at any age; acknowledges the inspiration that Sheila and Isabel are to their grandchildren and to those looking to get active later on in life, and wishes both continued success in bringing pride to Dalgety Bay and the Japan Karate Shoto club.
