St Margaret's Academy Celebrates 25th Anniversary
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates St Margaret’s Academy in Livingston, which celebrated its 25th anniversary on 21 November 2019; understands that the school has been celebrating the anniversary throughout 2019 and will continue to host events over the next few months, which will include staff, parents and the wider community; acknowledges that the school has a proud record of improving attainment and increasing opportunities for young people; commends the excellent work the school does around the catchment area to promote positive links with all parts of the local community, reaching out to, and working with, its neighbours in a strong spirit of mutual respect, and wishes the staff and pupils every success for the future.
