Care Inspectorate Praises Inverclyde Nursery and Early Learning Services
The motion
That the Parliament commends the findings from a Care Inspectorate report that nursery and early learning services in Inverclyde it believes are among the best in Scotland; notes that inspected childcare centres all achieved a rating of either "Good" or higher, and included centres that scored above the Scottish average in the "Very Good" category; applauds the efforts made by the six council centres at Binnie St. Children’s Centre, Bluebird Family Centre, King's Oak Nursery Class, Larkfield Family Centre, Moorfoot Nursery Class and Wellpark Children’s Centre, and the two partnership nurseries Enchanted Forest Nursery in Inverkip and West College Scotland Nursery to obtain these high standards; considers that these findings demonstrate effective partnership working between the Scottish Government and Inverclyde Council in providing young people with the best start in life; believes that this report reaffirms Inverclyde as one of the best places in Scotland to raise a family; thanks the committed staff for delivering high-quality care to the children who attend these nurseries, and wishes them well for the future.
