St Margaret's Wins British Council Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates St Margaret’s Academy in Livingston on being awarded the British Council’s International School Award 2019-22; understands that St Margaret’s was awarded the honour based on a number of projects the school is involved in, including work with a team of international teachers from across Europe to develop an eTwinning project, which has generated huge interest and has been mirrored by many groups across Europe; understands that other projects include ESOL teaching, Rights Respecting Schools, celebrating Christmas around the globe and a host of school trips abroad, which each give students opportunities to expand their own thinking and increase their ability to collaborate with others from different backgrounds; acknowledges that the British Council’s International School Award is in its 20th year, and wishes staff and pupils at St Margaret’s every success for the future.
