Asda Foundation's Green Token Giving Programme Winners
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen and District Cerebral Palsy Association, which assists individuals and families in Aberdeen affected by cerebral palsy, and Rhythm Nation Dance Companies PTA, which supports a fun and enjoyable experience for children of all ages in the creative art of dance, on winning the Asda Bridge of Dee and Asda Portlethen Green Token Giving programmes’ customer vote and award of £500 each; further congratulates the runners-up, NASS Aberdeen, which provides regular physiotherapy for people living with axial spondyloarthritis, Sunshine Partnership SCIO, which provides loss and bereavement support for children and young people, Home-Start Kincardine, which promotes the positive sides of family life, and Friends of Portlethen Primary, which fundraises to achieve school improvement priorities, with each receiving £200; notes that the programme gives local customers the chance to vote for projects that matter most to them; thanks the Asda Foundation for its continued support of local communities, which has seen more than £370,000 invested in community projects and worthy causes in 2018, and hopes that many more local organisations will continue to benefit from the awards.
