The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Home-Start Deveron and the Spotty Bag Shop on the launch of the Deveron Giving Tree 2019 Appeal; understands that the mission of the appeal is to ensure that no north east children wake up on Christmas Day without a present; notes that customers at the Banff shop will be asked to add something to their basket for vulnerable children; acknowledges that Home-Start Deveron reached 130 families last year and that Des Cheyne of the Spotty Bag Shop hopes that they can build on that this year; considers the holiday season a particularly difficult time for vulnerable children and their families; recognises the vital support and hope that such initiatives provide to people at this time of the year; commends Home-Start Deveron and the Spotty Bag Shop on this important work, and encourages people to support the appeal and help brighten up the holiday season for children across the north east.
